James Strait is a frequent guest host on Voice of the Voters, and has a background in broadcasting, beginning at WPHT 1210 AM in Philadelphia and WNJC 1360 AM, also in the Philadelphia listening market. He has recently accepted a position as technical and color commentator for Pure Energy Racing, broadcasting professional cycling races across all of New Jersey. Jim is also author of Weird Missouri: Your Travel Guide to Missouri’s Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets. His early background as a Special Forces soldier, followed by a thirty-year career as a professional aviator, offered opportunities where he designed and invented several systems that are in common use in both the civilian and military arenas. He is the father of three, grandfather of three, and great admirer of his artistic wife of thirty years' duration. Along the way, his interest in individual constitutional rights often found him giving testimony before state committees and the legislature on a variety of issues.
